My WD My Book Essentialbook is Not Getting power

I accidentally knocked this sucker off my desktop and the power adapter caught the weight. It was bent a little so I hastily began tryin to pry the case off with hopes of putting the hd in my desktop to recover the info. I haven't been able to make that work so I tried to solder the broken power jack on the case. That didn't get me power either so nOw I'm wondering what I can do to retrieve my data.
