Screen is white after digitizer replacement

I replaced digitizer on this device. The screen is completely white, but if I tilt the device I can see a picture. The touch function works. Is there something that I'm missing with this repair? I double-checked all connections. The problem seems to be that there is too much backlight. Thanks for your time.

"I too had this issue. I could barely see an arrow and 2 rectangles at the bottom left side. I did not have the glass stuck back to the tape, so I lifted it up and found that I missed pulling a protective cover sheet off the inside of the glass. I pulled it off and I could see the screen normally. It is working perfectly now. I hope this helps someone else.

I did not. I Even tried ordering a polarizing sheet from a company that specializes in polarizng film and it didn't work

"I seem to have the opposite problem - the screen is far too dark! If I look directly at the screen I see nothing, if I tilt the screen to nearly 90 degrees from my eyeline I can see display. The touch screen appears to work.

Is this likely to be related? maybe 2 polarising films applied instead of 1?!"

"my screen was only visible when angled.

as Garry said, there was a protector screen on the inside of digitizer screen as well. removed it an works perfectly!"
