viewfinder display on Sony fdr ax53 seems wrong

My new Sony FDR ax53 viewfinder display only uses about 70% of the available space. You can actually see internal parts of the camera. It looks like it has a picture frame around it. This seems wrong. Basically like watching a TV with the screen size reduced by 30%. If anyone has this model please see if yours is like this. Maybe that's the way they're made. Sure looks odd.

It sounds as thought the viewfinder display has either shifted or perhaps a shroud around the screen is missing.

As it is new consult the manufacturer's warranty statement, for your location, as to what you have to do to get a manufacturer's warranty repair or replacement."
