Why won't my button to see previous photos work

Why won't my button to see previous photos work

I was using my camera, and previously looking at photos I took. I went back into camera and switched it to automatic mode and then went back to see the photo I just took and the button is now unresponsive. I can't see or delete any photos I took previously
