Dishwasher stopped draining, now will not start

Dishwasher stopped draining, now will not start

My Kenmore dishwasher does not drain, nor will it start a new cycle after I manually syphoned out the water. The motor makes a sound, but it's hung up and I am unsure how to fix it. Any suggestions? Thank you for your time.
