Replacement Feet for the 13" MacBook Pro?

Replacement Feet for the 13" MacBook Pro?

My wife's 13" Macbook Pro's Feet have basically disintegrated. When I opened the case to put more ram in, it was painfully obvious that it needed to be fixed since now there are holes through the case allowing dirt in. For $149, I could get a new bottom case, but I don't really need that. I just need the feet. Is there a way to buy them? I don't see them on the site.

"These are for the earier model but may be what you need: http://www.welovemacs.com/mbp15rfeet.htm...

Here's an alternative: http://www.the-wabe.com/notebook/laptop-...

If you go into an Apple Store they may just give you a couple but I haven't seen a place to buy them yet."

"Apple now has replacement feet for these models.

Instructions here:

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5236

If you are still under Applecare, you are likely covered for the costs.

If you are not, the feet can be purchased from Applecare (2 feet per DIY kit, about $15 per kit plus shipping). The Apple kit contains everything you will need (feet, alcohols swabs, superglue) except the screwdriver.

The feet can also be found at other sellers with a google search.

I installed 2 kits on my 13 MBP (all 4 feet). Looks and feels original."

"Just a note. Apple no longer allows you to buy the replacement kit anymore They want you to have to pay a $20 per pad repair cost in the apple store. I was able to escalate my issue with an apple phone tech until a manager ordered me a kit but the regular sales people on the phone don't have the option themselves.

Also if you buy them online make sure you're getting the adhesive glue with it. Otherwise you'll end up using something not ment for the pads and it will degrade faster."
