LG Smart TV functions lost after recent software update
Hello, after a recent software update, my LG 50UK6500AUA from Costco approx. 2 years ago has basically lost its smart TV functionality. It won’t run any apps because it states they need to update, but I every attempt to use the LG content store or any smart TV feature and it just crashes. Also, navigating the menus is extremely grainy and the text is distorted and mostly unreadable. All that being said, any sort of HDMI input is crystal clear on certain picture settings, so it is only the smart TV features that are unusable. I am certain this is an issue with the recent software update because the TV worked completely fine prior and it also has never been dropped or any issue that would cause a hardware failure, there were no power outages around the time this issue started and the TV has spent its entire life plugged into a surge protector, etc etc.. Here are some pictures of the issue along with when it works/doesn’t work on certain picture settings. As you can see the HDMI input source has no picture issues but the settings menu over it still has all the same distortions, the same issue exists for all apps installed on the TV itself
