"When the horn was blown by Roland as he fought in Roncesvals against the Pagans, Charlemagne and his army went off to Roncesvals; however, they were met with the dead bodies of their comrades.

Charlemagne then lead his troops to defeat the large army of Muslims to avenge the death of Roland and his troops. After the battle were done, Charlemagne together with his army went back home to carry on the punishment of Ganelon who had betrayed Roland and their King.
