This Contest primarily aims to raise ASEAN awareness among ASEAN youths from the early age and encourage their participation in the celebration of this Anniversary. Specifically, it aims to:
- promote youth artistic talent and highlight what unites youth around the region;
- promote reflection and understanding of youth on ASEAN community-building and integration efforts towards the ASEAN Community by 20 15-one community and one destiny; and
- encourage youth participation in ASEAN activities.
The Contest is open to young nationals from the ten (10) ASEAN member-states between the ages of 6-12 and 13-18.
Drawings must be original and authentic. The works should be submitted in the format of a drawing representing the values of unity and solidarity with a short caption. The caption should not exceed two (2) lines and should be written at the registration form.
The drawings should be sent on an A3 sized-paper and should be one-sided in full color. water color, crayons, color pencils, among others, can be used to fill the color.
All submissions should be sent to the ASEAN National Secretariat in each member-state on Friday, July 6, 2012. The address is available at the ASEAN website: www.asean.org/20061.htm.
The winner of each category will receive certificates signed by the Secretary General of ASEAN, a cash prize of US$500.00 each and books and souvenirs. Other participants whose works are selected to represent their respective countries will receive certificates for their participations and prizes equivalent to US$100.00.
