The target participants to this activity are Grades 4-6 pupils and Grades 7-10 and college students from both public and private schools in Metro Manila.
The contestants will undergo a screening process from school, division and regional levels.
Leading towards the main event on November 29, pre-contest activities which include a contest launching on August 23, 2013 (in celebration of the Cry of Pugadlawin and the holidays countdown towards November 30) at the Ramon Magsaysay High School, Cubao, Quezon City. The launching activity will introduce the contests to the public along with the distribution of educational materials (e.g. audio-visual presentation and teachers modules on teaching the life and struggles of Bonifacio), among others.
The participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no-distruption-of-classes policy as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.
