The H2Ooooh! Initiative is a creative and amusing learning experience based on illustrated and animated water-related problems and solutions identified and interpreted by schoolchildren. The initiative is a program of the UNESCO Venice Office. The three (3)-D animated television series focuses on water protection and sustainable use. The twenty six (26) interesting stories conceptualized by Italian students ages six (6) to sixteen (16) years old presented issues such as the use and exploitation of water, its pollution, recycling possibilities, etc. The stories were developed into short animated cartoons, main characters of which are a group of animal friends known as the Pet Pals.
The H2Ooooh! Initiative proposes to deal with some very topical themes connected to water, while encouraging children to actively give their creative contribution to such issues and enabling them to share their own experiences and their proposals for the protection of the environment.
