The Convention aims to:
- update on the trends and directions of teacher education in the Philippines to be globally competitive;
- draw implications of global trends on teacher education from the different sessions particularly in improving the productivity of TEIs in research and innovation; and
- share insights and practices on how to strengthen research and innovation in teacher education in the Philippines for its global competitiveness.
The target participants to this activity are teacher educators, administrators of TEIS, basic education teachers and other stakeholders in education.
Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no-disruption-of-classes policy as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.
