The workshop/clinic aims to increase and improve the quality of project proposals submitted for the 2013 Search for Innovative Practices in Managing Large Classes. It is designed to critique and revise project proposals on innovative practices in managing large classes to increase the schools’ chances of qualifying to the said search.
The participants to this three-day workshop/clinic are the Science and Mathematics teachers from various secondary schools nationwide who are informally implementing management innovations for large (L) and extra large (XL) classes. A large class has a class size of 51 to 70 students while an extra large class has a size of 71 and above. The target participants are 50 secondary Science and Mathematics teachers from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
The requirements/qualifications of participants to the workshop/clinic are as follows:
- Must be Science or Mathematics teacher from a secondary school informally implementing management innovations for large classes;
- Must be Science or Mathematics teacher with training courses in research and research management;
- Must be computer-literate; and
- Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
