Training on the Current Strategies and Practices in Teaching Social Studies and History

The Saceda Youth Lead (SYL) inpartnership with the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) will conduct the Training on the Current Strategies and Practices in Teaching Social Studies and History on November 9-11, 2012 at the SYL Center, Candau-ay, Dumaguete City.
The Training aims to:
  1. promote, develop and support the study, teaching and enjoyment of history;
  2. involved in decision-making regarding the teaching and learning of history at a national level;
  3. present the case for knowing and learning about the past at all levels of society.
The target participants to this activity are Araling Panlipunan/Social Studies/History teachers from both public and private elementary and secondary schools.

Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no-disruption-of-classes policy as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled: Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.
