The Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) in cooperation with the United
Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) shall
conduct The Second Workshop on Active Learning in Optics and Photonics
on October 17-21, 2011 at the Tecson Laboratories, Department of
Physics, Ateneo de Manila University, Quezon City.
The follow up workshop aims to enable the regional trainers to:
- conduct effectively the ALOP activities in their respective classes;
- develop their expertise in fabricating selected materials in optics’ and photonics’ activities and reproduce these by themselves; and
- train other teachers in the region.
The participants to the workshop are Physics teachers from the Regional Science High Schools, Science and Technology Oriented High Schools, laboratory schools of colleges of education and teacher training institutions who have attended the first workshop. They shall attend this activity on official time
The participants to this activity will be given full transportation, food and accommodation for the workshop. Allowable expenses incidental to the workshop including the shipment of fabricated materials to their respective schools shall be charged to other funding sources.
