Several Factors Affect the Quality of Concentrator Operation

The size of the rinse water should be proper. Rinse water includes feed water and washing water. Rinse water should be distributed in bed uniformly, and size should be proper. If the size of washing water is big, the concentrate grade also improves, but the recycle rate decreases. In normal conditions, when we deal with coarse materials or make fine selection, rinse water should be big.
Appropriate stroke and jig frequency. The appropriate number of stroke and jig frequency is mainly related to material diameter. Secondly, concentrator table has relationship with table load and density of the prelate ore. When dealing with materials with higher granularity and thick bed, we should have big stroke and small jig frequency, which is contrary when we deal with fine sand and slurry. When the bed’s load capacity increases or when we deal with large density of material, it is proper to adapt to big stroke and big jig frequency. The proper number of stroke and jig frequency is decided by investigation in social practices.

Loading capacity should be proper and uniform. The size of feeding ores is closely related to material granularity, the coarser of material size, the bigger and the feeding ores. For the specialized materials, the size of feeding ores should be controlled at the range of high ratio of bed surface utilization, obvious zone, high tailing grade. More feeding ores will make recycle rate decrease greatly. In addition, once the tailing size is confirmed, which must be kept sustainable uniform; otherwise, the dividing zone will be not stable, and further lead to the fluctuation of dressing index.

The proper cross slope of bed. Increasing the bed’s cross slope and the function of ore grain decline will increase and further improve the tailing’s velocity of discharge, but the zoning of point’s selection become narrow. Generally, when we deal with coarse grained material, cross slope should be bigger; on the contrary, when we deal with fine grained materials. Cross slope should be small.
