How do I install a printer driver for an HP laserjet 1012

I have an HP 1012 laser printer, it showed up on my computer as a storage device. Opening the storage on the HP1012 started an installation process that loaded the drivers enough to get it to work. The drivers are old and you should be able to click on the printer properties and find the driver properties and update the drivers through Windows 10 update.
