Replaced battery but won’t stay on

Replaced battery with your guys kit. But nothing happened when I tried to turn it on. So I put the charger to it, and the apple logo will turn on for a sec then back off. After about ten mins of charging it stays on for a while like it’s powering up but as soon as the main screen is about to appear it shuts back down and restarts. After it doing this for a while it was very hot so I took it off the charger.
