Why won't my HP 7 Plus turn on?

Why won't my HP 7 Plus turn on? Hi, I’ve got an HP 7 Plus tablet and I can’t get it to turn on. It’s been on the charger for the last 8 hours and when I push the power button nothing happens. Can anyone help me get this thing working?
