lights up but the area is just a little darker

lights up but the area is just a little darker the outer touch screen has been replaced. there is a dark area , it still lights up but the area is just a little darker in color than the rest of the picture. The lcd screen has no visual damage . Could the problem be in the mother board or elsewhere?

golfnut3853 sounds like either a bad LCD or a bad touch screen repair. Post some images of what you see with your question. Use this guide for that so that we can see what you see. It'll also help if you give us the exact make and model of your phone.
