This festival has three (3) main events:
- Himig Handog Choral:
- Rondal Awit; and
- Avenida Musika of Marching Brass Bands Competitions
This activity aims to to raise the level of excellence of the young music artists in the country and to strengthen cultural education, arts appreciation and skills enhancement for human development.
All competitions are open to all schools/and or community-based music focused performing groups nationwide and from the Asia-Pacific region.

Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no-disruption-of-classes policy as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.
