The Government of Tagum and the City of Tagum Tourism Council will
conduct the Musikahan sa Tagum Festival with the theme " Harvest of
Creativity, Forging Global Harmony" on February 21-26, 2012 at the City
of Tagum. This Annual Festival is considered as the opening festival
salvo in the Davao region. The festival has three (3) main events:
- Himig Handog Choral;
- Rondal-Awit; and
- Avenida Musika Marching Brass Bands Competitions.
The festival aims to strengthen the culture and the arts programs of the country. All competitions are open to all schools/and or community-based music focused performing groups nationwide and from selected ASEAN member nations. The participants from public schools are allowed to attend on official time only.
