After the successful staging the Luzon Leg of the 2012National Age Group and Junior Chess Championships, the champions in each category are the first set of delegates to represent the country in the 2012 ASEAN+ Age-Group Chess Championships to be held in Hue, Vietnam.
The champions in the Age Group Finals will represent the country in the 2012 Asian Youth Chess Championships in Sri Lanka while the junior champions will earn the right to compete in the 2012 Asian Juniors and/or 2012 World Juniors later this year.
Eligible to participate in the regional eliminations are male and female aged twenty (20) years old and below to be classified into six (6) categories, namely: under-20, under-16, under-14, under-10, and under-8.
